Labuan Trip (30/8/2014 - 1/9/2014)

DAY 1
Reach Labuan
Early in the morning, we took the 8 a.m. ferry leaving for Labuan.
It took us 3 and half hours to travel from Jesselton Point, Kota Kinabalu to Labuan.
Although I have been travelling in boat before, I still vomitted because of the waves.
P/S: REMEMBER TO EAT MEDICINE before u on board!
The Labuan Jetty

We rent a car and checked-in at Aifa Hotel which is in the town right after we arrived the jetty.
At the Aifa Hotel, we were given some brochures about Labuan.
Their service are really great!

Batu Manikar Beach
There is a very great sunset view at this beach. (One of the tourism attractions) The scenery is damn beautiful! Unfortunately, we did not manage to enjoy the sunset due to the time factor. Though, the scene is still amazing!

Japanese Surrender Point
It is a place whereby the Japanese army surrendered during the war.
Walk up to the small hill, u can see a great view of Batu Manikar Beach!
It was a very great place for photo shooting!!

Peace Park
Near to the Japanese Surrender Point, Peace Park is there! It is a great place for photo shooting.
We took a lot of pictures and videos here!!!

Dinner
We were having our dinner at one of the restaurants in the town. Crabs~~ My favourite!!

Besides, we also went a walk at Labuan Square.
Due to Malaysia Independence Day, there were a lot of people there waiting for count down.

DAY 2
Marine Museum
The Labuan Marine Museum is at Jalan Merdeka. Although there are not many species of fishes here, still it is decorated nicely and well-arranged.

Labuan Museum
We can know a lot about the cultures and histories about Labuan from the war era untul nowadays!

The Chimney

Bird Park

Water Village
A kampung girl meets water village for the first time!!

Best souvenirs - chocolates
Chocolates and alcohols are really cheap here.
However, I just bought some chocolates for my friends and family.. hahaha

Anjung Ketam
We were having our seafood dinner at Anjung Ketam, the third stall. The orange juice are fresh orange juice, not from the bottle. All the seafood are fresh caught from the sea in the morning and all sold out at night time. We need to go there earlier to book for the seafood. Everything tasted nice! I want to go there once for food again!

DAY 3
Going home
There are two shifts of ferry to Kota Kinabalu there -  8 a.m. and 1 p.m. We chose the 1 p.m. because we do not want to rush for the ferry. There were many people in the departure hall and it was crowded at the imigration section.
P/S: Alcohol is just limited to 1 litre!!!

If you travel according to the brochure, your journey to go around Labuan is just approximate 40 kilometers.
Do not worry being there because there are many sign boards (in Malay language) which can show you where you want.
