The eldest graduation-Penny

Yeah! She is the first degree-graduated daughter in my family!
She is my eldest sister and I am proud of her!
She insisted on her dream and she tries her best in her studies and working!

I was sad that I could not attend her graduation day because the week is just after I have come to Sabah and continue my study.. uhhh
SUCH A WASTE for me!

I love my first FAMILY PHOTOS!!!

LOVE YOU ALL & MISS YOU

Everyone can write their own stories

I have a nice movie in cinema last week. That movie - The Book of Life. Although it was just an animated cartoon movie, it was inspiring. I think I have gained a lot from the movie.

"We can write our own story”

“Everyone has their blank pages to write their own stories, it just depends what they want to write"

"A pure and kind heart will always win the evil one"

Yeah... Everyone can write their own stories. I can also write mine. Therefore, why do I need to sit there and keep on complaining. I have 24 hours as everyone has. I should know what I want and I should do it!!! In life there are a lot of obstacles but I can still overcome them and do it!

Like Nike, "Just do it!"

Yeah!I can do it!!!

Dharma Walk - YBMA

I was no one, I am just a volunteer in Dharma Walk 2014. In this walk, I have known s bunch of new friends. Each of them has different talents and they worked together very well. They have different backgrounds, ages, jobs as well as ways of thinking; still. this two-day-two-night functions was organised and run very well and organised. Susposingly, the committee members running this functions is under 40 years old; however, all of them are just below 30 years old. The average ages of them are 24. Some of them are just 17. I was surprised for what they have done after knowing their real ages. Their ways of thinking and working are matured. They were very serious in working and ran things efficiently. I was glad that I was a volunteer being there so that I could observe and learn from them. Perhaps, they were arguing during work; but they can still be friends after work. They gave supports and they cherish each other.

I wish I could work with them again as I can learn a lot from them. Thank you friends.

Here are something new I learnt from these two days:

Age does not define how a person thinks and works.

Be humble at all times in order to keep learning in pace.

Be well-planned and have a bigger picture for everything.

Be prepared for any shortcomings or last minute changes.

Calm down and there are always ways to solve the obstacles.

In our way to succeed, there are always a lot of obstacles and lures, be calm and steady, face them and get through them.

Know yourself, know your role and do it well.

LGA3013E-Exploring and Exploiting Drama in the Primary ESL Classroom

Having studied Language Arts for a whole semester, in my opinion, it was never a simple subject to learn as I need to brainstorm more ideas in order to make students feel interesting in learning English language as a second language as well as enable students to communicate in English language in their daily life.

Although I was a photographer in this activity, still, I enjoyed my position. I tried my best to take photos for everyone and recorded the happy moments interacting with the pre-schoolers. Some of my coursemates have prepared and they presented the puppet show to the pre-schoolers. I think although the pre-schoolers do not understand English language very well, perhaps they didn't even understand what my coursemates have presented, still, the kids enjoyed the show very much due to the pictures and soundtracks.

This activity has given me a great idea by inserting a puppet show for my future students. It has also changed my idea that the students won't be able to do that. Now, I believe that my future students can do it and they enjoyed learning English language through this way.

Labuan Trip (30/8/2014 - 1/9/2014)

DAY 1
Reach Labuan
Early in the morning, we took the 8 a.m. ferry leaving for Labuan.
It took us 3 and half hours to travel from Jesselton Point, Kota Kinabalu to Labuan.
Although I have been travelling in boat before, I still vomitted because of the waves.
P/S: REMEMBER TO EAT MEDICINE before u on board!
The Labuan Jetty

We rent a car and checked-in at Aifa Hotel which is in the town right after we arrived the jetty.
At the Aifa Hotel, we were given some brochures about Labuan.
Their service are really great!

Batu Manikar Beach
There is a very great sunset view at this beach. (One of the tourism attractions) The scenery is damn beautiful! Unfortunately, we did not manage to enjoy the sunset due to the time factor. Though, the scene is still amazing!

Japanese Surrender Point
It is a place whereby the Japanese army surrendered during the war.
Walk up to the small hill, u can see a great view of Batu Manikar Beach!
It was a very great place for photo shooting!!

Peace Park
Near to the Japanese Surrender Point, Peace Park is there! It is a great place for photo shooting.
We took a lot of pictures and videos here!!!

Dinner
We were having our dinner at one of the restaurants in the town. Crabs~~ My favourite!!

Besides, we also went a walk at Labuan Square.
Due to Malaysia Independence Day, there were a lot of people there waiting for count down.

DAY 2
Marine Museum
The Labuan Marine Museum is at Jalan Merdeka. Although there are not many species of fishes here, still it is decorated nicely and well-arranged.

Labuan Museum
We can know a lot about the cultures and histories about Labuan from the war era untul nowadays!

The Chimney

Bird Park

Water Village
A kampung girl meets water village for the first time!!

Best souvenirs - chocolates
Chocolates and alcohols are really cheap here.
However, I just bought some chocolates for my friends and family.. hahaha

Anjung Ketam
We were having our seafood dinner at Anjung Ketam, the third stall. The orange juice are fresh orange juice, not from the bottle. All the seafood are fresh caught from the sea in the morning and all sold out at night time. We need to go there earlier to book for the seafood. Everything tasted nice! I want to go there once for food again!

DAY 3
Going home
There are two shifts of ferry to Kota Kinabalu there -  8 a.m. and 1 p.m. We chose the 1 p.m. because we do not want to rush for the ferry. There were many people in the departure hall and it was crowded at the imigration section.
P/S: Alcohol is just limited to 1 litre!!!

If you travel according to the brochure, your journey to go around Labuan is just approximate 40 kilometers.
Do not worry being there because there are many sign boards (in Malay language) which can show you where you want.

Sketch Competition - Cinta... Oh! Cinta..

The sketch competition for Malaysia Independence Month was organised in our campus yesterday (25 Aug 2014). It was glad that everyone of us contribute much in this sketch competition. The story is humour and meaningful. There are a lot of humourous jokes in the scripts and well-carried out by all the actors. We might not be the winner but at least we are the winner of my heart! I enjoy the process of preparing the props and staging. Although there were some props went missing during the sketch, still we have a great moment!

A day with Dr. Bridget Lim

A lecture by Dr. Bridget Lim, a lecturer from IPG Tawau. She taught us about Phonetics and Phonology on the 11/8/2014.
Her session is fun and everyone seems to be very active in involving her lecture. Her style of giving lecture and learning Phonetics and Phonology is inspiring.
Hope she could give us another lecture agin in the future time.
